Many initiatives create impact but can't demonstrate it. They reach large audiences, change lives, build communities. But in the formats that funders and grant committees require, they fall through the cracks.
That's because traditional reporting wasn't built for this kind of work. Visitor numbers say little. Satisfaction scores miss the point. And personal stories alone don't convince committees.
We measure impact in a way that works.
Approach
We combine numbers with stories. Quantitative data reveals patterns. Qualitative depth shows what's behind them. Together, this provides insight that's both accurate and actionable.
Every study ends with a path forward. What's happening? What can you do about it? How do you measure whether it's working?
Flagship tool
Measures the impact of projects and initiatives. ImpactLens combines quantitative impact scores with personal stories from participants. The results are directly usable for grant applications, reporting to funders, and internal evaluation.
Developed in collaboration with the Cultuurfonds, currently active for more than 15 projects in the Netherlands.

Before you measure, you need to know what to measure. ThemaVerkenner lets stakeholders determine which themes matter most. Not a pre-designed questionnaire, but an instrument that reveals what's actually at stake.
Measuring once is a snapshot. HeartBeat turns it into a film. Short measurements at regular intervals, so you can see whether things are changing. And what.
Where we use it
Impact of cultural projects and festivals. Policy and programme evaluation. Stakeholder research. Building grant applications with data.
We work with the Cultuurfonds, City of Amsterdam, and the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, among others.
